Susan Johnson-Washington

Susan was born in London, but now resides in Windsor Ontario. Susan thought her only gift was music. That changed in 2000 after she picked up the brush and applied her first strokes of color to canvas. I have been addicted to painting since then.” Susan says. Having stirred her artist gift she has come to understand that art and music are both the artistic voice that sings out from the soul of the artist. Susan’s zeal for painting is obvious. Her artist statements show her awareness of the world around her. Her use of multi media shows her hunger to use her gift to the best of her abilities.
Susan has exhibited annually to the Grey Roots County Museum in Owen Sound, Ontario, which hosts a yearly African-Canadian Art Exhibit of the descendents of slaves from the Grey County area.
