THE ARTISTS OF COLOUR

OUR VISION

The Artists of Colour is a group comprised of eight artisans whose vision it is to speak boldly of our history through the oral, written and visual language of art. It is our desire to showcase the works of African Canadian artists, both the professional and the novice, within a positive venue. In addition, we wish to teach these artists, encouraging them to aspire to excellence. We want to present art in a positive light in order to cultivate and to develop a greater understanding of the way the community views us and of how we, as a people, view ourselves and our world in terms of our own realties.
